With heavy hearts, we share the loss of Ms. Yvonne Geesey, our APRN colleague and founding Board Member of the Hawaii Association for Professional Nurses (HAPN). Ms Geesey passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 65. Ms Geesey was valued for her legal and regulatory expertise within our APRN community and helped break many barriers for APRNs in our state. Her leadership was recognized with the 2010 HAPN Leadership Award.

HAPN board members would like to acknowledge and appreciate Ms Geesey’s tremendous contributions to our community and are deeply saddened to lose such a loving and passionate colleague.
