As you may know, the Full Practice Authority bill (S2996) will be heard on February 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Several members of New Jersey APN Coalition will be providing testimony.

We understand how busy everyone is, and we know many of you are closely following the outcome of this hearing.
SPAPN wants to ensure you have a clear understanding of the current situation.
Regardless of the outcome on February 9, beginning February 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., APNs who prescribe medications will once again be required to maintain a collaborative agreement, and pharmacies will not accept our prescriptions.
Until permanent legislative action is taken, this ongoing uncertainty places significant constraints on practice and creates real challenges for continuity of care.
Our shared concern remains focused on patients. Our focus is to ensure uninterrupted access to safe, timely treatment and to support APNS.
